Works as advertised, plug n' play on both PC and Mac. Feels a little cheap.
The technology on my desktop, even though it is less that two years old, is behind the curve. Gets me updated just a bit more. Inexpensive, easy to use, will read and do everything the product details say it will.
I had the multiple card reader installed as part of the package and it worked fine - until the HD cards started showing up - then - No Joy. Good value. (Who am I kidding - it was behind the curve before it came off the assembly line after I ordered it).
Hence, all the stars. Looking around for another Kingston product was my first choice, something that wasn't expensive, that would read the new HD cards as well as be backward compatible with the older card formats. This one is it.
Does what it promises. And now I can enjoy all the movies and pictures I took of my beautiful grandchildren.
Easy to use, works great, reads anything I've tried (but see that review about 8GB & 16GB).
I know I have a memory card for the digital picture fame and my camera, each have different memory cards, yet I can use this card reader with both. Great product. Fits most any memory card that you might have. What could be better since it seems that everything has memory cards now a days, and why should we have to buy a separate card reader for each one. It is also small and compact so it doesn't take much room on the desk.
I bought this card reader to read my 4,8 and 16 GB CF cards that I use in my Canon 5D and 40D Digital Camera's.When I received the first one,the reader would only read the 8GB card and not the 4 or 16GB.I emailed Kingston, they made me pay to have it shipped back to CA. (from PA) and then when the replacement came it was the same thing. The reader could not see the 4 or 16GB cards. This is truly a piece of junk to use with my RiData 233x CF cards.I do not own any Kingston cards, but for $15.00 dollars and a lot of wasted time, the next thing it's going to read is the love notes on the inside of my garbage pail.
